Hey everyone, I just noticed this weird thing where suddenly a second cursor popped up on my screen. It's kinda freaky and makes me wonder if my computer got some kinda virus or something. Has anyone else seen this happen? What should I do?

I had this happen when I plugged in a second mouse. Maybe check if there's some hardware causing it?
If it’s showing up randomly and moving on its own, that’s usually a bad sign. Run a full malware scan ASAP.
I had this happen once and it turned out to be a software glitch after a recent update. No virus, but it was annoying as hell.
Got this once, turned out to be my graphics driver acting up, updating it fixed the problem.
Try disconnecting all peripherals except keyboard and mouse to rule out any device conflicts.
Do you notice if the second cursor is clickable or just visual? That helps figure out the cause.
I’ve seen this happen when remote desktop sessions glitch out, especially if you disconnect suddenly.
Check your display settings, sometimes using multiple monitors or certain settings can cause double cursor.
Honestly, it might be a remote desktop session or some background app causing it. Check your open programs.
Also check for any weird apps installed recently or browser extensions messing with your cursor.
Try scanning with some additional tools like HitmanPro or ESET online scanner for peace of mind.
Could also be a feature of some accessibility tools or apps that create a second cursor for presentations? Just throwing ideas out there.
This sounds like a driver issue with your mouse or touchpad. Try updating or reinstalling those drivers.
Try booting in safe mode and see if the second cursor still appears. If it goes away, it’s probably a software conflict.
Could be a bug in some gaming software overlay or screen recorder you might be using? They sometimes add cursors.
Make sure your system is fully updated. Outdated OS can cause all sorts of weird stuff.
Backup your important files just in case, better safe than sorry if it is malware.
Sometimes weird cursor stuff happens if you have multiple user accounts logged in remotely.
You can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools that might help diagnose weird PC issues like this.
Try turning off pointer trails or other mouse effects in the control panel, sometimes that helps.
If you’re tech savvy, check running processes for anything suspicious when the second cursor shows.
Sometimes weird cursor glitches are harmless but annoying bugs, but always worth investigating to be sure.
