Does Canvas Have a Way to Spot AI Writing?

My professor mentioned they use some new tool integrated with Canvas to check for AI content but didn't give much detail.

My guess is Canvas itself doesn’t do the detection but schools add plugins or use third-party apps alongside it.

Some say you can confuse detectors by mixing AI writing with your own edits.

I think ethical concerns matter too, relying too much on AI detection might scare students away from using helpful tech.
