Our admissions office found the learning curve steep when adopting AI tools, but once set up, it really sped things up.
I worry that overreliance on AI might lead to overlooking unique candidates who don’t fit the usual patterns.
I like how some AI admission tools help identify underrepresented groups more fairly by focusing on potential instead of just scores.
We use an AI system that integrates test scores, essays, and recommendations to score applicants. It's pretty handy but still requires human checks.
I recently tried out a couple of AI platforms for admissions at my university. The automation saved us tons of time, but it wasn't perfect in judging the softer skills of applicants.
I’m just starting research on this topic and any recommendations for good starting points would be awesome!
Some tools are pretty good at spotting patterns that humans might miss in the applications, like extracurricular achievements linked to success later.
Anyone else find that some of these AI tools are kinda pricey for smaller colleges? Not sure if the ROI justifies it for us yet.
Has anyone checked out how transparent these AI decision tools are? I worry about bias creeping back in, just in a different form.
Are there any tools that let applicants see how their application was evaluated? Transparency would be a game changer.
Do these tools handle international applicants well? I feel like the data can be all over the place.
