Using ChatGPT with Video Inputs

You can kinda fake it by breaking videos into frames and feeding images to multimodal models, but ChatGPT alone won’t handle it.

I guess for now, if you want to talk about a video, just describe it or share the transcript.

As far as I know, ChatGPT mainly deals with text. I haven't seen any official updates about video processing though.

Isn’t there a way to get subtitles from videos and then feed that text to ChatGPT? That might work for now.

Would be neat if ChatGPT could actually watch videos and then chat with you about them. Imagine that!

Maybe some third party tools use ChatGPT alongside video processing to get the best of both worlds.

If you want AI to analyze videos, try models designed for image and video processing, not ChatGPT.

I tried voice input but video input isn’t there yet. Hopefully we get more modalities soon.

I think ChatGPT’s main strength is in text. For now, if you want video analysis, look at other specialized AI models.

Honestly, I think it’s a matter of time before they add that feature. Video is huge and AI is catching up fast!
