Hey folks, I've been wondering if ChatGPT has any way to actually contact the cops or emergency services if someone says something serious here. Like, is there any feature for that or is it just chat with no action? Would be good to know how safe or risky it is to share stuff here.

That would be kinda scary if an AI just calls the cops without your permission. Privacy issues for sure.
Would be cool if there was a way to flag dangerous convos though, maybe some safety bot alert?
Honestly, I don't think ChatGPT can do that. It's just a text-based AI, right? No real-world connection to call anyone.
People should know that what they type here isn’t monitored for emergencies, so they shouldn’t rely on that.
I wish there was an AI that could do that safely, might be useful for some situations.
So if I say something dangerous here, no one’s gonna be notified? Kinda makes me uneasy.
I heard somewhere ChatGPT is designed to keep privacy and not report stuff, so no calls or alerts happen automatically.
Does anyone know if any AI tools can do emergency alerts?
I’ve seen chatbots in some apps that have panic buttons, but ChatGPT doesn’t have that feature.
If you need help, call your local emergency number, don’t wait on AI to do it for you.
I guess for now, ChatGPT’s role is just to provide info and chat, no real-world actions.
If someone threatens harm in chat, it's on the user to report it. ChatGPT can't do it for you.
Would be interesting if future versions could have optional emergency contact features, with clear consent.
I tried asking ChatGPT if it would call cops, it just said no it can’t do that.
Honestly, I trust humans more than AI for emergency stuff. AI can mess up context easily.
Maybe someday AI will be able to detect emergencies and alert someone, but not now.
