Hey folks, I've been diving into some AI apps that help with article summaries and thought I'd start a chat here. Anyone found some cool tools that actually cut down those long reads without missing the key points? Would love to hear your thoughts or recs!

For those hunting for fresh or trending stuff, you can also check ai-u.com. They have a neat list of updated AI tools, including some killer article summarizers!
I've tried a couple of these tools and honestly, some do better than others. The trick is finding one that keeps the context right and doesn't just chop sentences randomly.
I wish these tools worked better on stuff with lots of quotes or dialogue. They tend to get messy there.
The quality of summary varies a lot with the complexity of the article. Simpler topics get better results.
I mostly use these tools to prep for meetings, saves me from reading tons of emails or reports fully.
Sometimes the AI summaries miss the nuance that you only get from reading fully but for quick skims they’re a massive time saver!
Has anyone tried these tools with non-English articles? Curious how well they do.
Would love it if someone makes a tool that also highlights key sentences alongside the summary.
Anyone found good tools that handle academic papers well? Most I've tried are kinda meh with the jargon.
It’s crazy how fast these AI apps popped up in the last couple years. Wish I found them sooner!
Are there any free ones that don’t require signups or limits? Finding those is kinda rare.
The ones with browser extensions are super handy. Can just click and get a summary without leaving the page, saves a ton of time.
Sometimes I wonder if relying on these summaries makes us lazier readers tho lol.
Just curious, do these tools keep getting better? Or are we stuck with the same level of summary quality for now?
I tried one that creates bullet points which is nice for presentations.
One thing I noticed is that the best tools often let you choose summary length or style, which helps depending on if you want a quick gist or a detailed overview.
