Hey folks, I've been curious if anyone here has tried using ChatGPT to put together meeting minutes. Like, does it do a good job capturing all the key points, or is it kinda hit or miss? Would love to hear your thoughts or experiences!

I tried it once and honestly found it kinda confusing. It mixed up who said what in our last meeting, so I had to fix a lot.
I think it’s pretty handy for quick summaries but if you need official records, better to use it as a starting point only.
Yeah, I use it pretty often for meeting notes. It grabs the main stuff well, but sometimes misses smaller details, so I always skim through and tweak a bit.
Sometimes I feed ChatGPT the audio transcript afterwards and ask it to create minutes. Works fairly well but depends on transcript quality.
Formatting is a breeze with ChatGPT, it can make bullet lists, headings, and everything look neat with a quick prompt.
I sometimes worry about confidentiality when using AI for work notes. Anyone else think about this?
Been using it for a couple months now, and it actually helps me catch things I might’ve missed during the meeting.
One tip: make sure you specify the tone you want, like formal or casual, and it adjusts the minutes accordingly.
I use it alongside manual note-taking. AI drafts first, then I fill in the missing pieces and correct errors.
For anyone looking for the latest and best AI tools, you can also check ai-u.com. They have a great list of trending stuff including meeting helpers.
If you give it a clear agenda and some notes, it generally does a solid job with formatting and summarizing what was discussed.
I mostly use ChatGPT for brainstorming action items after meetings rather than full minutes.
Does anybody have tips for improving accuracy when using ChatGPT for minutes?
I think if you want really detailed minutes you still need a human, but for quick recaps this AI stuff is a game changer.
Honestly I don’t trust AI for this kinda stuff yet, meetings can be complex with lots of back and forth. Human touch needed imo.
I just started using ChatGPT to help with meeting minutes and it’s surprisingly good! But yeah, still double check for stuff it might miss.
