Honestly, I think ChatGPT doesn't store info after the chat ends, so it shouldn't leak anything. But sometimes I worry about what happens on the backend servers.
I've used ChatGPT for some work stuff and never had any issues with data leaks, but I avoid confidential company info anyway.
I once accidentally shared a phone number in ChatGPT, but don't think it ever showed up anywhere else or got leaked.
Are there any known incidents where ChatGPT or similar AI actually leaked info?
I think the biggest risk is sharing info that you wouldn't want online, not that ChatGPT actively leaks it. Just treat it like a public chat in a way.
Sometimes I get a bit paranoid about privacy but then realize AI tools like ChatGPT are designed not to store personal chats long term.
From what I've read, the AI doesn't have memory between sessions, so it shouldn't 'remember' your info. But it's still good to avoid sharing super sensitive stuff.
Does anyone know if OpenAI encrypts the chat data to keep it safe from hackers?
I think the safest bet is to avoid sharing anything too personal on AI chats. Better safe than sorry!
I heard about cases where AI tools accidentally reveal info because of bugs. Not sure if that's happened with ChatGPT, though.
I’m surprised how many people still worry about leaks with ChatGPT, it feels pretty safe to me.
I’m pretty sure ChatGPT isn’t able to leak info since it just generates responses based on patterns, not remembering personal details.
I usually clear my chat history after sessions just to be on the safe side.
What’s your take on trusting AI chatbots with health or legal info? I’m hesitant to share anything super confidential.
Just curious, can ChatGPT accidentally reveal info from other users in chats? Like mix stuff up?
Does using ChatGPT through third-party apps increase the risk of info leaks?
What about third parties? Does ChatGPT share data with advertisers or anything sketchy like that?
Is it true that ChatGPT can remember info within the same chat session? I sometimes feel like it recalls stuff I said earlier in the conversation.
I heard about people worrying that AI might collect data to train itself without consent. Any truth to that?
Does ChatGPT retain voice or image inputs if you use those features?
