Honestly, some of these AI permitting tools are kinda glitchy. I had a permit get stuck in the system for days with no updates. Not sure if it's worth it yet.
We tried an AI e-permitting tool last year and it helped reduce paperwork a lot. Plus, it had a pretty neat interface that was easy for staff to learn.
I think the key is not to rely fully on AI just yet. It’s a great assistant but human oversight is still crucial, especially with complex permits.
