Hey folks, I've been curious about whether ChatGPT can actually notify the cops if someone talks about doing something bad. Like, does it have some kind of feature to call the police or report stuff automatically? Just wanna know how it works behind the scenes or if it's just chat only. Anyone got insights?

I heard you can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools, some might have different safety features or integrations that could be interesting.
Lol imagine if it actually called cops mid-chat, people would freak out so hard! I think what it does is just refuse to answer certain questions.
I guess the safest bet is to not rely on ChatGPT or any AI for emergencies and always call proper authorities yourself in real situations.
just had to say, it’s all about privacy. AI can’t just rat you out like some snitch, there's gotta be laws and stuff that stop that.
So basically, ChatGPT acts more like a chat buddy with filters, not a cop hotline. I think people overestimate AI’s power here.
Honestly, I doubt ChatGPT can just call the cops. It's an AI language model, not some kind of emergency service. It might flag certain stuff internally but actual calls? Nah, that seems unlikely.
I wonder if OpenAI has any disclaimers about this. Like, what happens if someone talks about self-harm or committing crimes? Does it notify anyone?
I read somewhere that for some platforms, if certain keywords pop up, they can trigger alerts for moderators, but ChatGPT itself isn’t connected to emergency contacts.
People sometimes exaggerate what AI can do. ChatGPT doesn’t have direct access to phone lines or emergency services. It’s just text processing at best.
So what you’re saying is that ChatGPT won’t call 911, but behind the scenes, there might be some safety nets in place? Kinda makes me feel better about using it.
I think if you say something super serious, the system might alert moderators or some safety team behind the scenes, but the AI itself can’t make calls or send emergency services.
