Does ChatGPT Understand Images?

Nope, ChatGPT just processes text. If you want AI to understand images, check out stuff like computer vision models.

I read somewhere GPT-4 has image input capabilities, but it’s not widely available yet.

I think the future will have chatbots understanding images seamlessly, but we’re not quite there yet.

If you want an AI to look at images right now, you’re better off using specific image recognition APIs rather than ChatGPT.

Tried to feed pics into it but just got errors. So no, ChatGPT doesn’t see images at least currently.

From what I heard, the basic ChatGPT can't see images, but there might be some newer versions or integrations that do.

I tried uploading images to ChatGPT and nothing happened, so pretty sure it doesn’t see them.
