Hey folks, I've been messing around with ChatGPT and was wondering if it can actually talk out loud instead of just text? Like, can it do voice responses or something? Would be super cool if there's a way to chat with it using voice! Anyone tried this or know how it works?

Honestly, I just use screen readers sometimes and it reads the text output, works fine for me.
It’s kinda weird that ChatGPT can understand voice if you type but can’t directly speak back, technology gap?

Honestly, I think voice features would help a lot with accessibility for people who struggle with reading.
I think it depends on the app you use with ChatGPT. Some do a great job adding voice, others not so much.
I use voice dictation to talk to ChatGPT but then just read the replies. Works well for me.

Some browser extensions add voice read-aloud to ChatGPT web pages too, pretty cool if you wanna listen instead of read.
I use some apps that convert ChatGPT replies to audio for podcasts, works surprisingly well.
I wish ChatGPT had a more natural voice option tho, current TTS sounds kinda robotic sometimes.
I heard there are some apps that integrate ChatGPT with voice so you can have a voice conversation with it.
If you want voice, combining ChatGPT with Alexa or Google Assistant might be an option but not perfect yet.
I think voice chatting will get better soon, AI voice tech is evolving rapidly.

Yeah, as far as I know, ChatGPT itself is just text-based but you can hook it up with text-to-speech software to make it talk.
I tried voice chatting with some 3rd party bots but they don’t always get the tone right, kinda robotic.
Honestly, sometimes I just prefer typing and reading responses, voice feels slower for me.

Keep in mind some voice apps might record your conversations, so privacy is something to watch out for.
Not sure if it’s worth the bother, typing and reading is kinda quick for me.
Would be awesome if OpenAI added native voice support directly, makes it more interactive.
