Hey folks, I've been wondering if it's possible to upload PDF files directly into ChatGPT for analysis or to get summaries. Anyone tried this or know if there are any workarounds? Would love to hear your experience!

Honestly, just breaking the PDF into smaller chunks of text and feeding it piece by piece works fine for me.
I heard there’s some new AI tools that can handle PDFs directly, maybe you can try them too? ChatGPT might not be the best for this task yet.
Is there any plan for OpenAI to support PDF uploads directly? Would be neat to just drop a file and ask questions.
I usually convert my PDFs to text or Word docs first, then paste that into ChatGPT. Kinda a hassle but it’s the only way I found.
Maybe in the future they’ll add a drag-and-drop file upload and parsing feature, that would be awesome.
Not sure if this helps, but some platforms integrate ChatGPT and allow file uploads, but the plain ChatGPT interface on its own doesn’t have that feature yet.
I tried dragging a PDF into the chat once but it just didn’t accept the file. ChatGPT doesn’t seem to support direct file uploads yet.
I tried using ChatGPT’s API to send PDF content but had to extract text myself first. No built-in upload for files yet.
For now, just convert or copy text from PDFs before chatting. It’s a bit old school but does the job.
