Does anyone know if these tools can detect essays generated by the latest AI models? Heard some are harder to spot now.
Would be cool if these tools could highlight exactly which parts seem AI-generated so you know what to check.
Sometimes these tools just stress me out. Like, if you write in a very structured way, it might get flagged unfairly.
My experience is that no tool replaces good old human judgment when it comes to essay originality.
Would love to see some open source options that let you customize detection for your specific needs.
Detection tools often can't handle essays with a mix of human and AI writing. That's tricky.
I think education on how to use these tools properly is just as important as the tech itself.
I've tried a couple of these detection tools for my class and honestly, they're hit or miss. Sometimes they flag stuff that was clearly human written.
You can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools. They keep a pretty solid list updated.
I feel like some of these detection apps just don't keep up with how fast AI writing is evolving.
I wish there was a simple app or something that teachers could use easily without needing tech skills.
Has anyone tried combining AI text detection with plagiarism checks? Seems like a solid combo.
Some tools give a percentage likelihood of AI use, but I'm not sure how reliable those numbers are.
