Hey folks, been hunting for a solid way to spot AI-generated work in my classes. There’s a lot out there but not all feel reliable or easy to use. Would love to hear what you all use or recommend, especially stuff that doesn’t take forever to learn or mess with. Thanks!

Can anyone recommend something that works well with multiple languages? I teach ESL and it’s important.
Some tools give you reports that are easy to share with students. Makes explaining more straightforward.
Using these tools also helps me feel more confident giving feedback on originality. It’s like a safety net.
Would love to see tools that also detect AI use in coding or math assignments, not just essays.
One time the tool flagged a quote from a book as AI. Had to spend time explaining that was legit.
Been using an AI detection tool that’s pretty simple and user-friendly. Perfect for teachers who aren’t super tech-savvy.
I've tried a few and honestly, the accuracy varies a lot. Some tools flag everything as AI which gets annoying. Anyone found one that's pretty spot-on?
Honestly, some of these AI detectors feel like they’re just guessing half the time.
I worry these tools might discourage honest students or create distrust in class.
I started using one last semester and it's been super helpful. The best part is it gives a confidence score so you can decide if you wanna investigate more or not.
I feel like it’s also a good way to teach students about ethical AI use and responsibility.
Has anyone noticed if some subjects get more false flags? Like creative writing vs research papers?
Is there a free one that isn’t garbage? Paid stuff is just not in the budget for most schools.
Are there any tools that can integrate with LMS platforms easily? Saves me so much time.
Sometimes I think students just get better at using AI to cheat without getting caught. But these tools make it harder.
One thing to remember is no tool is perfect. Always cross-check and use your own judgement too!
Honestly, the tech is still in its infancy. Sometimes I think these tools scare students more than help. We gotta balance strictness with trust too.
