Hey folks, just wondering how many questions I can throw at ChatGPT before hitting a limit or something? I've been using it a lot lately and kinda curious if there's a cap or if it's basically endless. Anyone got the deets?

Sometimes it just depends on their server load, limits can feel different day to day.
Does anyone know if the question complexity affects the limit? Like longer questions or fewer allowed?
For anyone curious, you can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools that might have different limits or features.
I think you can keep asking but if you're using the free version, they might throttle you if there's too much traffic.
Honestly, I’ve never counted my questions but I’ve used it for hundreds of queries without issues.
If you wanna avoid limits, maybe consider upgrading to pro. Worth it if you use it a lot.
I hit some kind of cap once after asking tons of questions in one go. It told me to wait a bit before trying again.
I usually just restart the chat if it gets weird or slow. That seems to clear limits sometimes.
Honestly, I just keep going till it says something about limits. Usually, that’s after a ton of questions though.
Is there a way to see your usage stats anywhere? Would be cool to track questions asked.
I think using it during off-peak hours reduces chances of hitting limits or slowdowns.
Pretty sure the limits mostly depend on the account type and the platform you're using, like on chat.openai or through other apps.
Some apps that use GPT might limit questions more strictly than official ChatGPT, fyi.
Just curious, does anyone hit daily limits regularly or is it mostly occasional?
I think GPT-4 might have different limits than GPT-3.5 if that's what you mean.
I never count, just keep chatting till it tells me no more. Usually a bunch of questions though.
There’s definitely more leniency if you’re a paid user. Free users get throttled more often.
No idea how many but I never really got cut off. Maybe it resets after some time?
ChatGPT has token limits per session, so a really long convo might get cut off but it resets if you start new chat.
I don’t think the number of questions is the real limit, it’s how many tokens or how complex the queries are.
I think you can ask as many as you want but maybe they have some daily limits if you use the free version? Not totally sure tho.
I heard about cooldowns too, like if you ask too much in a short time, it might slow down responses.
Does switching accounts help reset limits? Anyone tried that?
