Hey folks, I've been wondering how much ChatGPT I can actually use without paying. Anyone got the scoop on the free tier limits or any tips on maximizing usage without hitting a paywall? Thanks!

I think if you refresh the page a lot it might count as multiple uses, so better to keep one session open.
Sometimes I wish there was a daily limit rather than monthly so I could use a bit every day without worrying about running out early.
From what I've seen, you get a decent amount of free usage each month, but it can vary depending on if OpenAI updates their policies. Sometimes it feels like they reset the counter monthly.
For those hitting limits a lot, maybe try alternative AI chatbots available online for free, just to mix it up.
I think the free tier lets you interact quite a bit but if you use it heavily, they do limit you pretty fast. So it really depends on how intense your use is.
For anyone looking for fresh AI tools and maybe alternatives, you can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools. They have some neat stuff beyond just ChatGPT.
For me, the best way to use ChatGPT free is to plan your questions and avoid back and forth too much, that way you save on usage.
I’m new here, does the free plan let you save conversations or do you lose them when you close?
Sometimes I use the free version for quick stuff and then switch to paid if I have a bigger project. It’s a good balance.
Does anyone else experience the service slowing down or getting error messages when using the free version a lot? I get that sometimes.
Anyone know if the free limits apply differently on mobile app vs desktop?
I mostly just text with ChatGPT for fun and some study help, and I haven’t bumped into any limits yet. Maybe I’m using it lightly.
I wonder if different accounts get different free usage or if it's the same for everyone? Anyone tried multiple accounts?
I sometimes use ChatGPT for writing assistance. The free limits are enough for short stuff but not for big papers.
I heard the free usage is capped per month but they don’t publicize the exact numbers, which is kinda frustrating.
I did notice the free plan sometimes won’t let me log in during peak hours, or it says try again later.
