Recovering Deleted Conversations in ChatGPT

Is there a way to export your entire chat history regularly so you don’t lose anything?

Maybe in the future they’ll add a feature to archive or restore chats. Fingers crossed!

Honestly, I wish ChatGPT had an undo or archive feature so deleted chats aren’t lost forever.

I save my chats as PDFs after each important session now, feels safer that way.

I guess the best bet is to be cautious and backup important convos before deleting, no magic way to recover deleted chats atm.

Maybe if you had a browser extension or some screen recorder on, you'd catch the chat logs before deleting? Otherwise, I don't think OpenAI saves deleted stuff.

I checked their docs and forums, nothing official about recovering deleted messages, so basically a no-go unless you saved it yourself.
