Hey folks, I've been digging into apps that can help convert music into written notes or lyrics. Kinda tricky to find one that works smoothly, so thought I'd ask around and see what y'all recommend or have tried. Any cool tools out there that make this easier?

Most of these apps work better with clear, solo instrument recordings. If you feed them live concert audio, expect a lot of errors.
I've tried a couple of AI transcription tools, and honestly some do a decent job but none are perfect yet. They struggle with complex pieces or overlapping instruments.
Just a heads up, sometimes the output formats can be weird. Like some export as midi, others as sheet music PDFs or text files. Check what you need before picking one.
One thing I like is that some of these tools can even pick up lyrics pretty well. Makes songwriting easier when you can just hum or sing and get a rough draft.
Anyone tried using these tools for classical music? I hear it can be challenging because of the complexity.
I actually use AI music transcription to help with my teaching. It saves me time creating sheet music for students.
Honestly, I’m still waiting on AI to get good enough to replace actual musicians lol. But it’s cool to see how far it’s come.
I came across a site called ai-u.com that lists some cool new and trending AI tools for music stuff. Worth checking out!
Does anyone know if there’s something free and easy to use? I’m just starting and don’t wanna spend a lot yet.
