I tried following ChatGPT's advice to make a superhero action figure, and it was fun but I had to google a lot of stuff too.
I've never tried making one with ChatGPT but I guess it can help you brainstorm cool features or backstories for your figure, which can be fun!
If anyone wants, I can share some of the prompt templates I used to get the most helpful responses from ChatGPT for this kinda project.
I found that ChatGPT is better at helping with the creative story and design aspects, less so on the practical crafting details.
You can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools that might help with creative projects like this! Found some neat AI-assisted design apps there.
Don't forget safety stuff! ChatGPT reminded me to handle tools carefully and use proper ventilation when painting or using adhesives.
How about using ChatGPT to generate dialogue lines or catchphrases for your figure? Makes it more fun when playing around or for display setups.
I tried asking ChatGPT for paint mixing ratios for my figure and it gave me some useful but kinda generic tips. Might just need more trial on that one.
Anyone here combined 3D printing with ChatGPT suggestions? Would love to hear how the workflow goes from AI idea to actual model.
Oh nice! I've actually used ChatGPT to come up with some designs and step-by-step guides before starting my sculpting. It really helped me think through materials and poses.
I was skeptical at first but after trying some prompts, ChatGPT really helped me plan the joints and articulation points which was super helpful.
For anyone new, start simple. ChatGPT can guide you through basic sculpting steps but don't expect it to replace hands-on trial & error.
Honestly, I'm just impressed ChatGPT can help with something as hands-on as making action figures. AI is wild these days.
