Hey folks, I've been messing around with ChatGPT and was curious if it can actually help put together a song. Like, can it handle lyrics, rhythm, maybe even some style? Would love to hear your experiences or tips on making music with it!

It’s pretty wild how far AI has come. Never thought I’d be writing songs with a bot back in the day!
You can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools if you wanna explore beyond ChatGPT. They list some cool stuff for music and more.
Don’t expect it to replace musicians anytime soon but it’s a cool tool to add to your workflow.
Sometimes I get totally unrelated stuff and have to keep tweaking the prompts, but it’s part of the fun honestly.
Anyone tried using ChatGPT with music production software? Like integrating with DAWs?
It’s kinda like having a creative buddy who never gets tired. You just gotta give it good prompts!
If you’re looking for style, try telling ChatGPT to write like a specific artist or genre. It helps shape the vibe more.
I get a kick out of asking it to do silly or goofy songs too, makes me laugh.
I was expecting it to maybe hum a tune or something but it’s mostly text-based, right? Still cool for lyrics tho.
I wish it could sing the songs it writes tho, that would be next level!
What about songs in other languages? Can it manage that?
Don’t forget to credit the AI if you ever publish the song, just FYI!
Been wondering how it compares to other AI tools specifically made for music though.
Yeah, I tried getting ChatGPT to write some lyrics for a chill vibe track. It actually came out pretty neat! Not perfect, but a solid start to build on.
Tried it for a rap verse and was surprised how quickly it churned out some decent bars. Not gonna win awards but a good starting point.
I mainly use it to overcome writer’s block or get unstuck when I hit a wall with lyrics.
Honestly, it’s a bit hit or miss. Sometimes the lines rhyme well, other times it just feels forced or awkward. But it’s fun experimenting.
Anyone tried making full songs or just snippets/lyrics?
What about melody and chords tho? Can ChatGPT help with that?
