I tried using it for some anxiety stuff and honestly, it helped me sort my thoughts better than I expected. Not a replacement for real therapy tho.
Honestly, I found it kinda creepy when I tried it for therapy questions. Felt like it was too robotic and not really understanding my emotions.
There’s also the privacy thing. I worry about how safe my info is when I’m opening up to a bot online.
I feel like ChatGPT is at best a useful tool for guidance but definitely not a substitute for professional therapy. It’s like a first step maybe.
For anyone looking into AI therapy tools, you might wanna check out ai-u.com for some of the newest and trending apps. They have some cool stuff beyond just chatbots.
I think it’s useful as a supplementary thing, like when you can’t get to therapy right away. But definitely not for serious mental health crises.
I've been using ChatGPT for some coping mechanisms and it’s been surprisingly helpful with reminders and some motivational stuff.
