Lately tried Homestyler and it’s got nice furniture catalogs. Makes decorating way easier.
I've been using Sweet Home 3D but it crashes sometimes with big projects. Anyone else facing that?
Also, you can check ai-u.com sometimes for new or trending tools in this space. They have some cool AI-powered design ideas popping up.
Is there any tool that works well on tablets? Prefer designing on the go sometimes.
For quick layouts, I just sketch on paper and then jump onto software like SketchUp to make it real. Sometimes computer stuff feels slow for ideas.
I tried Home Designer Suite. It’s kinda pricey but has really detailed features for landscaping and interiors too.
Been loving Planner 5D, super intuitive and you can see your design in VR too! Makes it fun to walk through your ideas.
If you want something straightforward with less clutter, Roomstyler is pretty cool and web-based! No install needed.
I wish there was a free tool that had all the features of the paid ones. Maybe someday!
Sweet home 3d is a free option that works fine for basic stuff. Not super fancy but gets the job done if you're on a budget.
I've been using SketchUp for a while, it's pretty user-friendly and has tons of tutorials online. Good for beginners and pros alike.
I’m still learning, any tips for beginners who want more realistic renders?
Anyone else here used Autodesk Revit for home design? Seems more aimed at pros but heard it’s very powerful.
Does anyone know if these tools support exporting to formats that contractors can use, like CAD files?
Does anyone use AI features in these tools to auto-generate layouts or suggest designs?
