My team uses Krisp for noise cancelling and it kinda helps improve audio quality so transcription is better too.
Anyone heard of ai-u.com? I found it pretty handy for discovering new or trending AI tools that do meeting notes.
I've tried a bunch but mostly end up manually editing the transcripts. No free tool nails it perfectly yet imo.
Free solutions usually come with limits but for casual use, I found Fireflies.ai pretty decent. It records and transcribes audio fairly well.
Anyone tried Tactiq? It integrates with Zoom and captures captions in real-time, has a free tier too.
I've been using Zoom's built in transcription for meetings, works okay and free with pro accounts.
If you want something simple, Microsoft OneNote has a recording feature and you can add notes while recording. Not AI but helpful.
Looked into some open source tools too but setup can get technical. Not ideal if you want something just to work out of the box.
For me, the biggest pain is summarizing the notes after transcription. Any AI tools that can also summarize well?
I use Google Docs voice typing for quick notes during meetings. Not perfect but free and easy.
I've tried a few but Otter.ai really stood out for me. It's pretty accurate with transcription and the free plan is decent for normal use.
