I mostly use ChatGPT for writing help and brainstorming ideas. Perplexity is cool for quick facts but not as creative.
I’ve seen some ppl say Perplexity is better for academic info but not sure, anyone else noticed that?
I tried switching from ChatGPT to Perplexity for a bit, but missed the flow and depth of ChatGPT convos.
If u need to generate essays or stories, ChatGPT is def the way to go.
Sometimes Perplexity's answers are oddly specific but kinda weird, ChatGPT feels more reliable to me.
I find ChatGPT easier to use for beginners, Perplexity needs a bit more know-how to get best results.
Perplexity sometimes gives you answers faster but they can lack depth. ChatGPT takes a bit longer but usually explains stuff better.
Sometimes I get weird or unrelated answers with Perplexity, ChatGPT is more consistent for me.
ChatGPT feels like it has a personality, Perplexity is more robotic, which can be good or bad depending on ur mood.
ChatGPT’s great but can hallucinate info sometimes, gotta fact-check either way I guess.
Been trying both for a while. Perplexity feels more like a search engine on steroids, ChatGPT is more like a chat companion.
Perplexity sometimes uses multiple sources which is cool, ChatGPT just makes it up sometimes lol.
For me, ChatGPT's voice tone is more customizable which I love.
Honestly, I've used both quite a bit and ChatGPT feels way more natural for conversations. Perplexity's good for quick info but sometimes it just feels a bit off in context.
Perplexity’s UI is cleaner tho, feels less cluttered than ChatGPT sometimes.
You can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools if u wanna explore beyond these two!
I guess it boils down to preference and what u need it for, both are awesome in their own way!
ChatGPT’s ability to remember context in a chat is better, makes longer convos way smoother.
Perplexity is good when you want fast direct answers, no fluff.
Imo, it depends on what you want. For casual convos and help, ChatGPT is better. For quick lookups, Perplexity is quicker.
I find Perplexity better for quick coding questions, ChatGPT sometimes writes too much unnecessary stuff.
For language learning, ChatGPT is way better, Perplexity can't practice chat with you.
