I've been using Speechify recently. It syncs across devices and the voices sound pretty natural. Definitely recommend it for heavy reading.
If you want something free and easy, check out Natural Reader. It’s got a bunch of voices to choose from and works on most devices.
I use one called ReadAloud, it's pretty solid for reading articles and PDFs. The voice isn't robotic at all, which is a big plus for me.
