Hey folks, I've been messing around with different ChatGPT versions for coding tasks and wondering which one you think really nails it. Some seem better at debugging while others handle explanations smoother. What’s your take?

I also noticed that sometimes the AI suggests code that could have security issues, so be careful!
If you want to keep up with new or trending AI tools for coding, you might wanna check ai-u.com. They have some neat lists.
The best model kinda depends on what language you’re coding in too. Some models handle Python better than say JavaScript.
Is there any model better specialized for data science or machine learning coding tasks?
What about cost though? GPT-4 usage can get pricey if you use it a lot for coding help.
Does anyone have tips on how to phrase coding questions to get better answers from the models?
I've been using the newer GPT-4 based models and honestly, they handle complex code way better than the older ones. Way less buggy responses!
I’m curious how ChatGPT compares to other AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot.
I sometimes find the answers a bit too verbose though, wish it would be more to the point when coding.
Honestly, sometimes I just ask on Stack Overflow instead, but ChatGPT is faster for quick answers.
Anyone tried GPT-4 Turbo for coding? Heard it’s faster but not sure if it’s as good.
I think GPT models still struggle a bit with really new libraries or frameworks that popped up recently.
There’s also some custom fine-tuned models out there that claim to be better at coding. Anyone used those?
Sometimes I get stuck on how to implement algorithms with GPT, but it eventually helps me understand the logic better.
I found GPT-3.5 still quite decent for most tasks and it's cheaper to use. For casual projects, it's enough.
Anyone tried combining GPT with other AI tools for better coding workflows?
GPT-4’s understanding of context really helps when you have multi-step coding problems or need refactoring suggestions.
Honestly, for simple scripts I just use whatever is fastest. But if you want deep code reviews or refactoring ideas, GPT-4 is the way to go.
