Hey everyone! I've been trying to find some decent apps or software that can grab text from images without a hassle. Tried a few but some just don't cut it or are too complicated. Would love to hear what you guys use or recommend for this kinda stuff!

If you only have a couple images, sometimes just typing it out manually is faster, especially if the text is short or handwriting is messy.
I wish there was a tool that could extract text AND translate it instantly, that would be a game changer.
Tried a couple online but they required me to upload really sensitive images and I wasn't comfortable with that. Anyone know a good offline tool?
I found that sometimes apps that are supposed to extract text just output gibberish if the picture quality is bad. So lighting and focus matter a lot!
I like tools that also let you highlight or edit the extracted text right after scanning. Saves me switching apps.
The free ones always have ads and sometimes limit how many pics you can scan per day. Kinda annoying if you gotta do a bunch at once.
Remember to crop the image tightly around the text for better OCR results. Background noise can confuse the tool.
You can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools, they got some fresh picks that might help.
Does anyone know if these tools handle multiple languages well? I’m looking to extract text from some documents in French and Spanish.
There’s this app called Microsoft Lens that I use on my phone. It scans docs and whiteboards pretty well and exports to Word or PDF with editable text.
Honestly, google keep's built-in OCR is pretty solid for quick text extraction. It's free and syncs with your google account too.
I've been using this one app that just works wonders for me, especially for handwritten notes. Can't remember the name now but it’s super quick and almost no errors usually.
Just a heads up, sometimes if the text font is fancy or super stylized, OCR struggles a lot and you get errors.
