Hey folks, been diving into using AI stuff to help with mechanical design tasks lately. It's kinda crazy how these tools speed things up or help catch stuff I might miss. Anyone else messing around with this tech? Would love to hear your thoughts or fav apps!

I've tried a couple of AI-driven CAD plugins and they're neat for automating repetitive parts. Saves me tons of time!
I’ve found AI can sometimes suggest parts or materials that aren’t standard in my region, so gotta double-check.
Would love to see more AI tutorials focused on mechanical engineering instead of general AI stuff.
I like how AI helps with simulation predictions, especially thermal and stress analysis. Makes the process less guesswork.
AI tools helped me find errors in my design files that I would've totally missed. Feels like a second pair of eyes.
Anyone else feel like these AI tools are a bit overwhelming at first? Took me a while to get comfortable with them.
Does anyone use AI for predictive maintenance suggestions tied to their designs? Curious if it helps in design phase.
I’m curious if anyone's tried AI for generative design in mechanical parts? Heard it can come up with some wild stuff.
I think AI will change how we approach design in the next 5 years, more collaborative between human and machine.
Been using AI for automating documentation and BOM generation. It’s a real time saver!
Tried using AI to speed up 3D modeling but ended up spending more time fixing AI-generated errors lol.
I actually use AI to optimize design parameters. It suggests some neat tweaks I wouldn’t have thought of.
For those interested, you can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools in this space. Found some gems there.
Some tools are pricey though. Wondering if free or cheaper AI options are decent enough for small projects.
Does anyone know if these AI tools integrate well with existing mechanical design software? Like Fusion 360 or Inventor?
