Hey folks, I've been using ChatGPT quite a bit lately and started wondering if it tends to slow down after heavy use or if it's just me. Anyone else notice any lag or delays after a bunch of interactions? Would love to hear your experiences!

Maybe the app or browser you are using to access ChatGPT can also affect the speed?
Honestly, I think it’s mostly the connection and server load combined. ChatGPT is pretty powerful and designed to handle lots of users.
I thought it was just my internet acting up but sometimes after like 20+ questions it feels kinda slower for me too.
I found that sometimes refreshing the page or starting a new chat helps speed things up a bit.
Sometimes ChatGPT gets slower when there's a new update or maintenance happening, so it might not be just usage related.
I've noticed that clearing cache helps with speed sometimes if ChatGPT feels laggy.
Never really noticed a slowdown but I usually take breaks between sessions. Maybe continuous use heats up servers? Just a guess lol.
You can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools, sometimes switching between tools helps when one feels slow.
I'm pretty sure the slowdown isn't on your end if you have a solid connection. The servers handle a ton of requests so it can get crowded.
From what I understand the model itself doesn't slow down but response time might vary depending on server traffic.
I've tested this a bit and didn't find any real slowdown after lots of inputs, just some variability in response time.
Sometimes it feels slower but also depends on the complexity of the questions you're asking. Longer answers might take more time to generate.
