For anyone starting out, I suggest trying a few to see which interface clicks with you. Some are super intuitive, others not so much.
You can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools. They seem to list some cool transcription stuff regularly.
Does anyone know if there are AI tools that can detect speaker changes automatically? That would be amazing.
I struggle with accents sometimes, and many tools just don’t get it right. Maybe training data needs to be more diverse?
I prefer cloud-based options since they update features regularly and handle processing on their end.
The best feature in some tools is the ability to export captions or subtitles directly, which saves a lot of time for video projects.
I’m just happy when the text is mostly correct and I don’t have to type it all out lol.
One thing I look for is how easy it is to edit the transcript after it's generated. Some tools lock you out or make editing super clunky.
I've been using a couple of these AI-based transcription apps lately and honestly, some are way better than others. The accuracy can be hit or miss if the audio quality isn’t great though.
Sometimes I just wish there was a perfect one-click solution that gets everything right first time. Still searching!
Some tools even integrate with Zoom or Teams to transcribe meetings live, pretty handy if you don’t want to miss anything.
I tried a few free apps but they usually limit how much you can transcribe before charging you.
I’m curious if anyone’s had experience with offline transcription tools? Sometimes I need to work without internet.
I noticed some apps also offer language translation along with transcription, which is neat if you work with multilingual content.
