Hey folks, I've been trying to figure out which tools actually do a good job at detecting AI-generated text. There are so many options, and some seem way better than others. Anyone got recommendations or personal experiences with this kinda stuff? Would love to hear what worked best for you!

The speed of these detection tools is another factor for me. Some take forever to analyze.
For me, the tool that stood out was the OpenAI classifier. Not perfect, but it gave pretty consistent results and was easy to use.
I’ve noticed some detectors only work well on English text. Anyone found good options for other languages?
What about browser extensions? Anyone used those for quick AI checks?
Are there any open-source AI detection tools? Curious if those are worth trying out.
Does anyone know which tool is best for checking AI content in academic papers? I wanna ensure originality there mainly.
It's kinda wild how these detectors need to stay ahead of AI generators, it feels like an endless cat and mouse game.
I've tried a couple of these detectors, and honestly some are just hit or miss. A few gave me false positives which was super annoying.
Would love if there was a universal benchmark to compare these AI detection tools fairly.
Does anyone here use a combination of tools or just stick to one favorite?
Sometimes I wonder if AI detectors can be fooled by just tweaking the text a bit.
I came across a site called ai-u.com that has a list of trending detection tools. Might be worth checking out if you wanna keep tabs on the latest.
Anyone else tried the newer AI detectors that use neural networks? I feel like they catch more subtle patterns than older keyword-based ones.
I feel like some of the free detectors out there aren’t worth it at all. Paid ones generally give better insights.
I've had a bad experience with one tool that just crashed every time I tried to use it on big files.
