Hey everyone! I've been trying to find some cool apps or tools that can help me jot down notes directly from audio clips or recordings. It's kinda tough doing it manually, so if anyone's got any good recs or personal experiences, would love to hear 'em!

I've been using a few different apps, but honestly Otter.ai works pretty well for me. It transcribes audio pretty accurately and lets you highlight and organize notes. Worth checking out!
You can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools. They have a section dedicated to note-taking apps and AI-powered transcription stuff. Found some neat ones there recently.
Has anyone tried using AI assistants like Siri or Alexa to take notes from audio? Curious if that’s practical.
I personally combine manual notes with AI transcripts. The AI gives a base and then I add my own context. Works well for me.
For students, some apps even link the transcript with the audio so you can click a sentence and hear that part again. Super handy for studying.
I tried a couple of AI note takers but they usually mess up specialized terms or accents. Anyone else face this?
Just a heads up, some tools might not keep your audio data private. Make sure to check their privacy policies if your recordings are sensitive.
I’m still waiting for an AI that can summarize long meetings from audio without me having to do much. Anyone seen anything close?
If you want free options, Google Docs voice typing is decent for live notes, but not really for pre-recorded audio files.
I use a mix of voice recorder apps and then run the file through some AI transcription services. Takes a bit longer but the accuracy is decent.
I found it's important to have clear audio with minimal background noise if you want the AI to do a good job. Otherwise, errors pile up fast.
