For a free option, I tried HitPaw Watermark Remover's video background feature, it kinda works but not perfect. Still experimenting.
If you wanna test something quick, try RunwayML — easy AI video background removal and lots of other cool features.
The biggest issue for me is the edge detection, it's rarely clean and you get some ghosting or weird outlines unless you tweak a lot.
I tried a couple of tools and found that some online ones work pretty well for quick jobs, but if you want quality, desktop apps are better. Still hunting for the perfect balance tho.
I sometimes combine a green screen shoot with AI removal to get the best final output. AI helps clean edges after that.
Does anyone know if these tools work well on mobile phones? Like removing video backgrounds on the go?
I've seen some creators use AI background removal live during streams, that's next level. Anyone have experience with that?
I tried VEED's background remover, pretty decent for simple videos. The interface is smooth and easy for non-techies like me.
Just wanna add that you can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools related to video background removal. They keep updating all the cool stuff in the AI space.
Anyone tried Kapwing for this? I've heard it has a background remover for videos and it's pretty user-friendly for beginners.
I've been using Adobe Premiere Pro's Roto Brush for background removal, not AI but pretty effective with patience. Anyone else?
Sometimes I think this tech is about to blow up soon. AI models improving fast, soon we won't even need green screens anymore.
I hope more open-source tools come out for this kind of stuff. Not everyone can pay subscription fees for pro apps.
I think the AI scene detection tech is still improving, so results vary a lot depending on lighting and background complexity. Be ready to do some manual cleanup afterward.
