Hey folks, I've been trying to figure out how to share my screen with chatbots like ChatGPT for better interaction and help. Anyone got tips or tricks on how to do this smoothly? I'm looking for easy ways or maybe some apps that work well with it. Appreciate any advice!

Honestly, I tried a few screen sharing apps but none really integrate directly with ChatGPT since it's mostly text-based. What I do is just copy-paste the stuff I want to discuss or ask about.
I think the main issue is ChatGPT being text-based so no native screen share feature. But pairing it with other apps like TeamViewer might be the way to go if you want real-time screen sharing.
I mostly use screen recording software and then upload snippets or screenshots for ChatGPT to analyze. It's not live but works when you need detailed feedback.
For me, the easiest solution was just to have two screens and keep ChatGPT open on one while sharing the other screen through a regular video call.
For now, just keep your chat open and use any screen sharing tool you like alongside it. No magic integration yet but hopefully soon.

If your main goal is troubleshooting, recording your screen and then sharing the video or keyframes with ChatGPT text is a workaround that works well for me.
What if you just take screenshots and upload them to ChatGPT? It recognizes text pretty well now, though it’s not exactly screen sharing.

You can try using shared whiteboard apps with ChatGPT on the side, like Miro or Jamboard, to collaborate visually as you chat.
You can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools that might support screen sharing or better AI integration. They have some cool updates on this stuff.
Sometimes I just describe what I’m seeing in detail to ChatGPT and it helps me troubleshoot. Not ideal but it can work surprisingly well.
