Hey folks, lately I've been digging into AI that can help break down long research papers into bite-sized summaries. Thought it could save a ton of time, but curious what tools y'all have tried and how well they actually work. Anyone got favorites or some tips on using these tools effectively? Would love to hear some real feedback!

Would love if someone made an AI tool that summarizes papers AND suggests related works automatically.
Don't expect these tools to replace reading completely tho, they're more like a supplement to get a rough idea first.
I've tried a few AI summarizers but sometimes they just give me the abstract again, which doesn't help much.
Been using AI tools for a few months and honestly, it’s gotten way better at capturing the gist without losing meaning.

I always cross-check AI summaries with the original abstract to catch any major differences.
Just a heads up, some tools struggle with non-English papers or those with lots of equations and symbols.
Sometimes I feed the AI summary into a note-taking app and it helps me organize key points better.
I found some AI summarizers also mess up citations and bibliographies, which is annoying if you're trying to keep track.
Some tools let you highlight parts of the paper and only summarize those sections, which is super useful for focusing your reading.
