Hey folks, I've been messing around with some apps that convert text to speech and wanted to hear what y'all suggest. Some tools I've seen are cool but kinda hit or miss with voice quality and naturalness. Anyone got favorites or tips?

Is it just me or do some voices sound kinda too perfect? Like, almost unnatural? I kinda like a little imperfection to keep it real.
Honestly, you can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools if you want the latest stuff. They keep a pretty up-to-date list!
I guess the best way is to try multiple tools and see which one fits your style the most.
Does anyone know if these tools can handle different languages well? I wanna convert some foreign text to audio, but not sure if the voices will sound good.
I mostly use a tool that lets me tweak the voice pitch and speed. Makes it sound less like a robot. Worth trying if you want a bit more control.
I like when I can add pauses and emphasis manually. Makes the audio way more listenable.
I've tried a couple of these tools and honestly, some sound pretty robotic. But there's one that surprised me with how natural it sounds! Anyone else noticed that?
Some of these tools get expensive if you want higher quality voices. Just a heads up if you're on a tight budget.
I found a few open source projects too, but they require more setup. Not for casual users really.
Been using one that integrates with Google Docs so I can just highlight text and convert it. Super handy.
