I've been wondering if ChatGPT can read and analyze articles directly from links. Can it access and summarize content from URLs provided by users? If not, are there any workarounds or upcoming features that might allow this? Would love to hear thoughts or experiences!

Currently, ChatGPT cannot browse the internet or access content from links directly. You need to copy and paste the text you want it to analyze.
As of now, the best way is to provide the article text manually. Hopefully, OpenAI will enable full browsing soon!
You can also use third-party tools that scrape the article text and then feed it into ChatGPT for summarization.
I think the browsing feature is only available in ChatGPT Plus with GPT-4 and still in beta. So for most users, it's not accessible yet.
