I've been curious whether ChatGPT can process and understand audio files directly. For example, if I upload a voice note or a podcast clip, can ChatGPT analyze the content or transcribe it? Or does it only handle text inputs? Would love to hear if anyone has experience or insights on this!

Currently, ChatGPT itself does not process audio files directly. You need to convert the audio to text using speech-to-text tools before inputting it into ChatGPT.
OpenAI has models like Whisper which are designed for transcribing audio, but ChatGPT focuses on text-based inputs and outputs.
