I've been using ChatGPT at work for various tasks, mostly through the web interface. I'm curious if my employer can access my ChatGPT conversation history or monitor what I type and receive. Are there any privacy risks I should be aware of? Does anyone have experience or knowledge about this from Reddit discussions or elsewhere?

I read on Reddit that ChatGPT chat history is stored on OpenAI servers and is private unless you share it. Employers generally can't access that unless they have your login credentials.
Your employer can only see your ChatGPT history if they have access to your device or account, or if you're using a company network where web traffic is monitored. If you use your personal device and personal internet, it's unlikely they can see your chat history.
If your employer uses software to monitor screen activity or keyboard input (keylogger), then yes they can see what you type including ChatGPT conversations. So it depends on what monitoring tools they have installed.
