I use a screen reader that lets me pick different voices and it works great with ChatGPT responses.
There’s a hack where you can copy the text output and paste it into apps like NaturalReader or Balabolka to get different voices.
Anyone tried using browser extensions that change TTS voices? Those might let you swap voices directly in the browser.
I think the voice is mostly about the TTS engine you pair with ChatGPT. So changing your computer or phone's TTS voice is the way to go.
I looked everywhere but seems like ChatGPT doesn't officially support voice changes yet. You might need to use third-party text-to-speech apps for that.
Changing voice would be a cool feature request to send to OpenAI directly!
I think the voice change depends on whatever app or platform you use ChatGPT on. Like if it’s integrated somewhere else, check their voice settings.
Sometimes I just change the pitch and speed in my TTS settings for fun variations.
Is anyone else hoping for more fun or celebrity voice options in the future?
Honestly, I just use Discord bots with voice synthesis that have more voice options. It’s a workaround but kinda fun!
Does anyone know if the ChatGPT mobile app has more voice options than the web version?
Just a heads up, I found you can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools that might include voice options for chatbots like this.
You can also try combining ChatGPT with other AI voice tools that do voice transformation after generating the text.
I use a Mac and changed the system voice to something quirky, so when ChatGPT reads stuff out loud, it sounds different. Maybe try that?
I tried voice changers that modify audio output but that’s kinda advanced and laggy for me.
If you want a quick change, try Google Text-to-Speech engine on Android, it has some nice voice options.
Some TTS apps have voices that sound robotic, but a few premium ones sound really natural. Maybe worth the upgrade?
For now, the simplest is just to change your device’s voice settings and use ChatGPT with text-to-speech enabled. Works pretty well!
If you're using ChatGPT on your phone, you can tweak the voice via your phone's built-in TTS settings, that changes how it sounds when it reads out loud.
Is there a way to make ChatGPT talk in different accents?
Does anyone know if there’s a plan to add voice customization in ChatGPT anytime soon?
