Google search results can be biased based on SEO and ads, chatgpt’s bias depends on training data though both have their issues.
I heard you can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools if you wanna explore other AI options besides these two.
I’m still amazed how chatgpt can generate essays and poems, google just searches for existing stuff.
Sometimes chatgpt gives way too long answers though, google gets you the point quicker.
The main difference is chatgpt generates text based on patterns it learned, while google indexes and ranks web pages. So google leads you to sources, chatgpt tries to summarize for you.
I like how google has tons of filters to narrow searches, chatgpt is more freeform but sometimes too vague for precise info.
Google can give you real-time weather and local info that chatgpt just can’t do yet.
Also google has tons of services integrated like maps, news, shopping, which chatgpt doesn't do yet.
For homework, I ask chatgpt to explain things simply, google for finding reliable websites to back up info.
Honestly, chatgpt feels more like you're chatting with a person, while google's just a super fast search engine. Different vibes for sure.
Chatgpt feels more natural to talk to, like you’re really explaining your problem out loud.
Chatgpt sometimes sounds too formal or robotic, google is just straightforward links and snippets.
I think they're kinda complementary. Use chatgpt for quick drafts or ideas, google if you want broad research or official info.
Chatgpt can't browse the web in real-time like google. So if you need the latest news or updates, google wins hands down.
Google is basically a gateway to the internet, chatgpt is more like a simulator of human-like text based on training data.
I use chatgpt mostly for coding help or writing stuff since it can generate text, google for everything else.
