I guess the real question is what ‘copy’ means here. Sharing AI tech principles isn’t copying, right?
Deepseek does some stuff ChatGPT can’t though, like very detailed search and filtering which is pretty neat.
Not sure if people realize how different the companies behind these tools are. That usually affects design and focus a lot.
At the end, I think it’s just people trying to create drama. Both have their perks and weak points.
I wonder if there’s any official statement from Deepseek about this copying thing? Haven’t seen any yet.
I find it funny how people rush to say 'copy' without really understanding the tech behind these tools. AI models have lots of shared basics but unique twists.
I've noticed some overlap in how they generate responses but the training data and outputs are pretty distinct, at least from what I've seen.
From what I heard, Deepseek is more niche while ChatGPT aims to be a broader AI assistant. That alone shows they’re not copies.
Honestly, I don't think Deepseek is just a copy of ChatGPT. They might share some tech foundations but their approach and features seem different to me.
Kinda feels like people just wanna stir drama. Both are AI tools but with different purposes, copying wouldn’t make much sense.
FYI, if anyone’s hunting for fresh AI tools, you can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools. Found some cool stuff there.
Seeing some mixed opinions here but from my experience they’re more complementary than copies of each other.
I’ve tried Deepseek and honestly it felt more like a search engine with AI than a chat assistant.
Anyone else think the UI and user experience of Deepseek is way different from ChatGPT? That kinda shows they’re distinct products.
I’m curious if anyone here has used Deepseek extensively and can share how it compares in daily use to ChatGPT?
