Hey folks, I've been wondering about how ChatGPT works with chats. Like, can it peek into other conversations or is it just stuck on the one we're having? Curious to know how private our chats really are!

From what I understand, it only knows about the chat you're having with it right now. It doesn't have access to anything else unless you share it here.
I think it’s cool how it keeps everything separate, makes it feel more private even if not perfect.
Also, remember it doesn’t have memory between sessions unless you use specific features that save chat history.
What about using the same account across devices? Does that mean it syncs chats and reads them all?
But what about data collected for training? Doesn’t that mean it’s aware of other inputs?
I’ve read somewhere that ChatGPT doesn’t remember previous chats once you close the window. So no, it can’t read other chats.
Just to add, ChatGPT processes each input independently without combining info from different chats or users.
Sometimes I feel like it picks up on stuff from previous chats but guess that’s just me making connections lol.
Honestly, I’m a bit worried about privacy, but if OpenAI designed it well, it shouldn’t be able to see your other chats.
It’d be kinda wild if it could read other chats, imagine the chaos! But nah, it’s designed not to do that.
This reminds me, you can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools that have clearer privacy policies if you're concerned.
