I've been hearing a lot about AI writing tools and I'm curious if Zybooks has any way to detect if students are using ChatGPT or similar tools to complete their assignments. Does anyone have firsthand experience or information about Zybooks' detection capabilities regarding AI-generated content?

From what I've seen, Zybooks doesn't have a built-in AI detection tool like Turnitin, but they do monitor for unusual patterns in answers or timing.
If you do use ChatGPT to help understand concepts, just make sure to write your own answers to avoid any trouble.
I asked my instructor, and they said Zybooks assignments are mostly auto-graded and don't specifically check for AI-generated answers, but plagiarism might be detectable in other parts.
