Hey folks! I've been wondering if the stuff we talk about with ChatGPT is kept private or does it get shared somehow? Kinda curious about how secure these AI chats really are. Anyone got the lowdown on this?

I heard the company might share data with partners but only if it’s anonymized and aggregated. So, no personal stuff is supposed to leak out.
I read somewhere that OpenAI uses conversations to train and improve models but they don’t sell or share the chats with advertisers or stuff like that.
Does anyone know if there’s a way to delete your chats or if they keep them forever?
Sometimes I wonder if the AI remembers our old chats for long, or if it’s just session-based.
I keep my expectations low. Anything on the internet can be shared or leaked somehow, so I just don’t put anything too sensitive in AI chats.
Are the conversations encrypted? That’d make a big difference for me.
Honestly, I just avoid sharing anything super personal. It's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to AI.
I was worried about this too but from what I know, they don’t share your conversations publicly or with third parties. They just use it to improve the model, but supposedly it’s anonymized.
I wish there was a straightforward 'privacy mode' where your chats aren’t saved at all.
I think as long as you're careful with what you type, it's pretty safe. They gotta use data to improve but hopefully with respect to privacy.
The whole transparency thing is important. If they published more about their data policies in simple terms, I’d feel better about using it.
