Hey folks, I've been wondering if it's safe or even smart to ask ChatGPT medical stuff. Like, can it really give reliable answers or should we just stick to doctors? Would love to hear what y'all think about using AI for health advice!

Be careful, ChatGPT can’t check your actual symptoms or do tests. Don’t skip real checks!
Some people forget that AI doesn’t have feelings or real understanding. It just processes data. So it can miss how serious something might be.
Would love if AI could help screen symptoms and tell if urgent care is needed. Maybe someday.
Anyone else find it weird that sometimes answers contradict each other? Makes me question trusting it.
I think it’s helpful for quick checks but always prefer getting a real opinion for important stuff.
Do you think AI will ever be able to replace doctors in any way? Seems unlikely anytime soon.
Some answers I got seemed outdated or not aligned with current guidelines, so watch out!
I find ChatGPT answers pretty clear but sometimes too generic for real medical issues.
The worst is when folks think AI is a doctor and skip their appointments. That’s risky business.
You can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools that might be better tailored for medical info if you’re really interested.
It’s cool tech but let’s not get carried away. Always verify info and see a doctor when needed.
Not sure if it’s reliable for kids’ health questions though, probably better to ask a pediatrician.
I asked ChatGPT about mental health stuff and it gave supportive answers, but I always recommend professional help as well. AI can’t replace therapists.
Anyone else use it to understand prescriptions or side effects? It helped me figure out the basics at least.
I think ChatGPT can be a good starting point if you just wanna get some general info, but definitely don’t rely on it for serious stuff. It’s not a doc!
I once used it to prep questions to ask my doctor, saved me time!
Honestly, if you’re just curious or want explanations of things you heard, it’s fine. But for treatments or serious advice, no way.
I asked it once about some symptoms and it gave me a super broad answer. Kinda scary how vague it was, so I just ignored it.
Sometimes it’s just easier to google, but ChatGPT gives nicer explanations imo.
I think it’s good for quick info when you can’t reach a doctor, but don’t take it as gospel or a substitute for real medical help.
