Is It Possible for ChatGPT to Hack Your Phone?

I think the scary stuff is mostly from people misunderstanding what ChatGPT actually does. It’s not self-aware or capable of control over devices.

Honestly, I think a lot of this is just fear-mongering. ChatGPT is just a language model, it doesn't have the capability to hack into devices or anything like that.

Not sure where people get these ideas from, ChatGPT can't interact with your device’s system or files directly.

I’ve seen some people say ChatGPT can help write hacking scripts but that’s different from it actually hacking your phone by itself.

I think the confusion comes from ChatGPT being able to generate scripts or instructions if someone asks, but it doesn’t mean it’s actively hacking anything.

People tend to blame AI for stuff they don’t understand. ChatGPT is powerful but it has limits.

Just to add, if someone uses AI-generated code maliciously, that’s on the person, not the AI itself. Kinda like giving a tool to someone who misuses it.
