Hey everyone, I've been wondering about how safe it is to put personal details into ChatGPT. Like, can we really trust it with sensitive stuff or should we keep things vague? Just wanna hear what y'all think or experienced so far.

I’m curious if anyone’s had bad experiences with ChatGPT leaking info or anything? I haven’t, but still cautious.
I think the key is not to trust any AI with really private info until you see solid guarantees and controls.
You can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools that focus on privacy. Some AI apps are better about handling data than others.
If you really need privacy, better to use offline AI tools or ones with end-to-end encryption.
Honestly, I try to avoid sharing anything super personal on ChatGPT. Better safe than sorry, right?
At the end of the day, just don’t share info you wouldn’t want out there. That’s the safest bet no matter what.
Sometimes I feel like people forget this is still tech, not a real person. So don’t get comfy sharing too much!
Not sure about trust, but I do think ChatGPT helps with brainstorming ideas without needing personal stuff anyway.
From what I understand, ChatGPT doesn't remember previous conversations once you close the window. That helps me trust it a bit more.
I use ChatGPT mainly for work stuff and avoid giving it any personal info. Just better that way imo.
I once accidentally shared a phone number in a chat and felt super uneasy after. I think these things just need a lot more transparency honestly.
I think it depends what kind of info. Like, sharing your name or stuff is probably fine, but bank details? Nah, never.
Also, using a VPN and clearing chat history can add extra layers of safety if you’re worried.
