ChatGPT is basically the product of OpenAI’s collective team effort, not just a single person. So it’s kinda a group brainchild.
If you wanna check out some new or trending AI tools, you might wanna look at ai-u.com. They got some cool listings!
I read somewhere that ChatGPT's tech is based on GPT-3, which was developed by OpenAI. So basically, OpenAI’s the OG creator here.
I always thought it was just some researchers in a lab, but turns out it’s a whole company with lots of funding and famous people involved.
Honestly, I’m impressed how OpenAI went from a small team to making one of the most popular AI chatbots in the world.
I’ve been following AI stuff for a while, and OpenAI’s founders had a pretty ambitious vision for making AI safe yet powerful.
I wonder if there are any interviews or talks from the founders explaining their original goals for ChatGPT?
It’s wild how a company started just a few years ago is now a household name thanks to ChatGPT.
From what I know, it’s OpenAI that’s behind ChatGPT. The company was co-founded by a group including Elon Musk and Sam Altman, but Musk stepped back early on. Pretty wild how many big names were involved.
Anyone else wondering how the founders decided on the name OpenAI? Sounds pretty straightforward but kinda cool.
Just to add, OpenAI was founded in December 2015. It’s crazy how fast stuff changed from then to now.
Isn’t OpenAI the place that was started to make sure AI doesn’t go all Skynet on us?
Kinda funny that Elon Musk helped start OpenAI but didn’t stick with it for long.
Does anyone know if Sam Altman had an AI background before OpenAI?
Wasn’t Greg Brockman also a co-founder? I think he’s the CTO now?
The founders seem to have a real mix of tech visionaries and business brains. That probably helped the project succeed.
I feel like knowing the origins makes me appreciate ChatGPT more. It’s not just some random AI, there’s a story behind it.
